Sunbeam Tiger

The Sunbeam Tiger was a V8-powered sports car produced by the Rootes Group from 1964 to 1967. Based on the Sunbeam Alpine, the Tiger was conceived by racing driver and Shelby American team manager Carroll Shelby, who fitted a Ford 260 cubic inch V8 into the Alpine’s compact body — the same basic formula he used for the AC Cobra. Approximately 7,085 Tigers were built across the Mk I (260 V8) and Mk II (289 V8) variants, making them considerably rarer than their Alpine siblings.
