The Jaguar XK series — comprising the XK120 (1948–1954), XK140 (1954–1957), and XK150 (1957–1961) — were groundbreaking sports cars powered by the legendary 3.4-litre twin overhead camshaft XK engine producing 160 bhp. The XK120, named for its 120 mph top speed, stunned the motoring world at the 1948 London Motor Show. The XK140 brought improved interior space and rack-and-pinion steering, while the XK150 introduced Dunlop disc brakes on all four wheels. Available as roadsters, fixed head coupés, and drophead coupés, the XK series established Jaguar as a world-class sports car manufacturer.
