Today I attended the Steam Threshing Festival at the Heritage Park of North Iowa in Forest City, Iowa. The show live farm demonstrations including grain threshing, log sawing, plowing, ensilage cutting, shingle making, horsepower testing, corn shredding, lumber planning, feed grinding, and corn shelling.

Narrowly Avoid Getting Dive Bombed on the Front Straight

After passing a car in The Kink it tried to pass me again on the main straight using it’s superior power but ended up trying to take Corner 1 at my speed, knowing that they were not going to make it I took evasive action and drove off course the minute I heard their tires squealing.
