Daimler 250

The Daimler 250 (also known as the Daimler V8-250 or Daimler 2½ Litre V8 Saloon) was produced from 1962 to 1969 by Daimler, a subsidiary of Jaguar. Based on the Jaguar Mark 2 body shell, it was powered by the Edward Turner-designed 2,548 cc V8 engine with hemispherical combustion chambers. The engine produced 140 bhp and was mated to a Borg-Warner automatic transmission or optional manual with overdrive. The Daimler featured a distinctive fluted grille, superior interior trim, and the characteristic smoothness of its V8 powerplant.
